White-tailed Tropicbirds (Phaethon lepturus) are also referred to as Longtails in Bermuda where they are officially protected by the government.  I first encountered the bird while sailing alone to Bermuda from North Carolina back in June 2011. All photographs shown below were taken on Powell Cay in the Abacos of the Bahamas by me, Greg Frucci, during my second visit to the island in April 2024.
