My Artwork

The pencil drawing was created from a tattoo on my wedding ring finger. The tattoo has a story which evolved over many years involving a marriage to my second wife which lasted from 1997-2007. It was modified in 2008 at the request of a woman who I began seeing. She dumped me in 2010. I then added the circle on the top for myself and have been single ever since. :)

Original graphite drawing on paper by Greg Frucci, 2010. Inspired by a desire to "Take Off" into the world after a failed relationship and a loss of career direction, I found peace in the creation of this image and it's becoming a symbol of the solo sailing adventure I embarked upon in 2011.

Upon the return to Wilmington, North Carolina by plane from Bermuda after leaving my 30' sailboat in Bermuda for repairs, I created this drawing in a sketchbook of the beautiful white bird which came to see me each morning of the eight day crossing from Wilmington to Bermuda. I did not know what species of bird it was until I arrived alone in Bermuda. I looked at a postcard in a small store in St. Georges, Bermuda and saw the bird. Flipping the postcard over, I saw the inscription, "Bermuda Longtail...the national bird of Bermuda."
I sent the postcard to a woman I love, "Muse."

"Metamorphosis" is a digital combination of "Compass Rose" and "Bermuda Longtail" and appears on the front cover of my first book, Inspiration From A Muse: Poems To Her and the back cover of my second book, Path of Three Hundred: Volume 1.
Every image tells a story and I could write a book about this one...oh wait...I did...twice. :)

Original title of this pencil drawing on paper was "Fisheye" and was the second in a series.
