Lesson Learned: Never Go Back.
Step into the Unknown…go forward.
Photo of a Hydrangea by me flowering with its newness in June while I was on a beautiful piece of land on Sao Miguel Island in the Azores. While there, I made a decision which involves a completely new direction. Taken with my Canon R5.
In my almost sixty-four years of life as a human on this planet we all share with each other, I've pocketed many lessons. I am not alone in this.
Some quite intense...some not so much. Yet, the most intense ones are cherished by me and not forgotten, even with the ramifications of my own choices associated with them. Lessons learned can become gold.
One such lesson is an intense one which I have repeated over and over with more intensity each time. Most likely because I needed to embody the lesson once and for all once learned in fullness.
And that lesson is:
Do not go back. Go forward into the Unknown. Release what was. What was, is merely an illusion now. What was, contained lessons and a cesspool of crap all wrapped into a package. Store the lessons in a loving way and leave the baggage of crap at the threshold of the doorway that I wish to enter. Once that is realized in fullness, then I will be able to walk forward with space created for the Unknown...what is new.
So, I embrace the New and I refuse to go back to what once was. Period.
